Progressive Walks are a series of forward or backward steps danced in groups of three or six. They may be danced in closed or open position, one partners dancing forward walks while the other dances backward walks. Progressive Walks Forward are usually commenced with the LF, and may be danced without turn, or curved gradually to the left. Progressive Walks Back are usually commenced with the RF, and may be danced without turn, or curved gradually to the right or left.
A group of three walks takes 4 beats of music, for example RF back (count "2"), LF back (count "3"), RF back (count "4, 1").
