9. Cuban Rocks
Cuban Rocks are a group of three weight changes keeping the feet in place and may be danced in any position where the feet are apart, starting with the weight on either foot. They may be danced at the same time by both partners on opposite feet, or individually by one partner while the other dances a solo Spot or Switch Turn. Normal hold or L to R hand hold may be used, or they can be danced without hold (all levels). A rotary or lateral hip action may be used. Side Cuban Rocks are the only requirement for examinations and medal tests, as shown in the leader's and follower's charts.
